ADULTS

The Adult Services Department has a special interest in providing services for its adult patrons.  In addition to books  chosen from all genres, the library provides  Large Print books, books on cassette, and  books on CD. Adult Services endeavors to provide a variety of  programs of interest to the adult population. The  Book Discussion Group is a recurring program. The library also sponsors programs which have included health issues, Lewis & Clark Bicentennial celebration, first run independent foreign film series, birdwatching,  beginner genealogy workshops, and free internet classes. Outreach programs include nursing home visits, Books by Mail, and  Southeast Missouri State University Student Welcome Picnic. Opportunities for volunteer work are available both in the library and on an outreach basis.
