The teen space is reserved for students in junior high & high school (ages 12 - 18 years) and features:
- a current collection of fiction, non-fiction, and popular paperback books
- graphic novels
- magazines for all tastes and trends
- four public access computers with up-to-date software such as Microsoft Word 2007, Power Point 2007, Excel 2007, Access 2007 and Publisher 2007 plus desktop publishing specific software such as Print Master Platinum and Gimp
- summer and winter programs to challenge and entertain
- Xbox 360 and Wii weekday afternoons (during the school year)
- cafe tables and comfortable seating for reading and/or socializing
- After-Hours programs

Summer Reading Club

Wednesday, June 2, 2:00--4:00 p.m., Beach Bums Summer Reading Kick-Off
We're making waves at the library. Stop by the teen room to find out more about this summer's activities. It's going to be a summer full of Beach Bums, art cards,
messages in bottles, tie-dyed shirts, sand painting, oil spills, and more.
Friday, June 4, 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (after hours with pizza):
Brian Katcher, author of Missouri Gateway Award nominee Playing With Matches
will be at the library to talk with teens about books and writing. Stop by the youth services desk to register for summer reading and pick a up copy of his book.
